A diamond certification or “Cert” as it is known in the trade, represents an independent verification that the diamond (or colored gemstone) purchased has all the qualities of cut, color, clarity, shape and carat weight expected. The certificate is not a guarantee of value, nor does it state any suggested value on its form. The certificate represents an unbiased evaluation of the gemstone. The diamond is graded under optimal conditions in a controlled environment. These gemologists scrutinize each gemstone to analyze its dimensions and characteristics.
